PURCHASERS NOTES - GENERAL SALES
VAT: is payable at the current UK rate on all lots and is also payable on the Buyer’s / On-Line Premium (BOP). (Exported Items: Applicable VAT may be refunded on production of satisfactory shipping documents).
BOP: of 15.5% plus VAT is payable on the bid price acceptable to the Auctioneers.
Title: of the goods remains with the Clients until payment has been received in full by the Auctioneers, however goods should be insured by the Purchaser from receipt of invoice.
Payment: Must be made in full within 3 days upon receipt of invoice unless alternative arrangements have been made with the Auctioneers prior to bidding. Invoices will be emailed with a hard copy following via post or fax.
Payments can be made by the following methods:-
1. Cash (max £9,000 GBP).
2. Bankers draft or Building Society cheque.
3. Most major credit / debit cards (max £5,000 GBP).
4. BACS payment / Bank transfer.
5. Company cheque.
NB: Where company cheques are accepted by the Auctioneers, goods will not be released until cleared funds have been received (allow 5 working days for clearance of cheques).
Account Transfers: will not be recognized. The Auctioneers will not accept bids made by one party on behalf of another party.
Viewing: All viewing must be arranged through the Auctioneers - an acceptable form of identification may be required to gain access. (No children under 16 years or animals will be allowed on any site).
Auction Registration: Purchasers wishing to bid for any lot must first register on-line (www.ppauctions.com) and agree to abide by both the specific sale conditions (purchaser's notes) and the general terms & conditions.
Clearance: All lots must be removed by the date and time stated in the on-line description.
Days for clearance are normally weekdays (Monday to Friday only) and exclude UK public and Bank Holidays.
Times for clearance are normally 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 12.00 noon Friday.
Where removal of equipment involves structural work “making good” will be the purchasers responsibility.
Removal of Purchases: The Loading / Transportation of items purchased is the exclusive responsibility of the Purchaser. Where Peaker Pattinson or Client personnel provide assistance this is deemed to be on a voluntary basis (even if reward has been offered or supplied) and no liability is accepted by the Auctioneers or the Client.
Loading Personnel & Equipment: All personnel intending to operate lifting / moving equipment on site must first produce to the Auctioneers or Clients site supervisor - current operating licenses - current equipment certificates and proof of all relevant insurances. They will be expected to work to Peaker Pattinson, the Clients, and current health & safety regulations and may be reported and / or ordered off the site at any time for breach of these regulations. All machinery movements will require a risk assessment and method statement from the Purchaser or their contractors who may also be required to work under CDM regulations.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a domestic auction site.
Lots are sold ‘as seen’ regardless of faults, descriptive errors, etc. We strongly advise that Purchasers physically inspect the lots as we always prosecute payment defaulters.
